This role sits within our core data platform team, responsible for building scalable systems that enable users to query and export their data efficiently and securely. If you thrive on distributed systems, performance tuning, and architecting clean solutions to tough data problems, this is for you.

Must Haves:

6+ years of experience in backend or platform engineering within data-heavy environments

Track record of designing and scaling reliable, multi-tenant systems

Strong hands-on experience with modern cloud infrastructure (e.g. object storage, identity management, container orchestration)

Proficiency in at least one backend language such as Go, Java, C++, or Rust

Solid understanding of distributed systems used for querying or processing large datasets

Awareness of best practices around access control, data privacy, and platform security

Collaborative mindset with a focus on building user-oriented, reliable solutions

Nice to Haves:

Experience with Apache Arrow, Parquet, Iceberg, or DataFusion

Prior work with cloud-native, high-throughput data architectures

Hands-on with Rust (especially in data processing use cases)

Passion for designing systems that power real-world customer products

Track record of working across teams to build unified, performant platforms
