A well-established fintech company in Oslo is building modern, scalable payment platforms used in real-world, high-volume environments. The focus is on clean backend architecture, reliability, and long-term product quality rather than short-term fixes. This is a role for someone who enjoys building solid systems that matter.

You will work hands-on with backend development, building and maintaining services that sit at the core of a payment platform used at scale. You’ll be part of a small, capable team with strong technical ownership, real influence over architectural decisions, and close collaboration with product and the wider business.

Must haves:

Strong backend development experience using Kotlin in production systems

Experience building and maintaining APIs that support real users

Solid understanding of modern backend architecture and service-based systems

Comfortable working with live, business-critical environments

Fluent Norwegian, written and spoken

Nice to haves:

Experience with payments, fintech, or other regulated environments

JVM background beyond Kotlin, such as Java

Cloud experience and exposure to distributed or event-driven systems

Interest in system design, scalability, and security concerns

Enjoy contributing to technical discussions and improving how things are built
