We're partnering with a venture-backed AI software company building products that automate complex business processes and help organisations make better decisions at scale. Founded by experienced technology entrepreneurs with a track record of scaling high-growth businesses, they're now looking for a Founding Engineer to help build and shape the next stage of the platform. This is a rare opportunity to have significant influence over architecture, infrastructure, product direction, and engineering culture from an early stage, working directly alongside the founders and senior engineering team.

Must Have

Strong backend engineering experience

Strong cloud and infrastructure experience (AWS or GCP)

Experience designing and building scalable, reliable distributed systems

Experience with modern backend technologies such as Go, Python, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Terraform and CI/CD pipelines

Ability to make sound technical decisions in fast-moving environments

Comfortable operating with ambiguity and taking ownership of key technical challenges

Based in New York and able to work from the office at least 3 days per week

Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with customers and stakeholders

Nice to Have

Experience with Golang

Previous experience as a Founding Engineer, early-stage startup engineer, or founder

Experience building AI or machine learning products

Full-stack experience with React and TypeScript

Experience helping define engineering standards, processes, and technical strategy

Leadership or mentoring experience

Experience working within highly regulated or complex industries

Track record of scaling products and teams within startup environments
