Tech Lead – Platform Engineering

Ready to take the technical lead on complex cloud platforms, shape engineering decisions and drive innovation in a fast-moving, product-focused technology environment in Stockholm?

We're working with an established, product-focused technology company in Stockholm looking to appoint a hands-on Tech Lead within its engineering organisation. This is an opportunity to take ownership of technical direction, improve cloud infrastructure and platform reliability, and help build scalable systems that support a growing engineering environment. The position combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership, working closely with experienced engineers to drive improvements in automation, infrastructure and developer experience. Previous people-management experience isn't essential, but strong technical ownership and the ability to influence engineering decisions are important.

Must Haves

Strong experience in Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

Hands-on experience designing, building and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure.

Strong practical knowledge of Kubernetes and containerised environments.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and modern CI/CD practices.

Solid understanding of production systems, reliability, monitoring and automation.

Ability to take technical ownership, make architectural decisions and independently drive improvements.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work across complex engineering environments.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with and influence other engineers.

Nice to Haves

Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other major cloud providers.

Knowledge of technologies such as Terraform, ArgoCD, Istio or similar tooling.

Programming or scripting experience with Go, Python or similar languages.

Experience improving developer tooling, build systems and engineering workflows.

Knowledge of observability, performance optimisation and Service Level Objectives (SLOs).

Previous experience as a Tech Lead, Staff Engineer or Principal Engineer.

Experience mentoring engineers or providing technical guidance across teams.

Background working with high-traffic, complex or large-scale software platforms.
